St Lucia to "intensify" crime prevention efforts

The St Lucia government has announced plans to intensify efforts at crime prevention, in part by increasing the numbers in the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.

It also proposes the introduction of a parole system to assist in the reintegration of prisoners into the community.

While some of these initiatives are welcome, there is nothing about boosting the capacity or capability of the judicial system.
